This Privacy Policy explains how ("Henna Book", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Henna Book mobile application (the "App").

Henna Book is a marketplace that connects customers looking for henna and mehndi services with independent henna artists. We take your privacy seriously and handle your data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Henna Book connects customers with independent artists. Once a customer and an artist are connected through a booking, each artist acts as an independent provider and is responsible for how they handle any personal information you share with them directly outside the App.

2. The information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the marketplace. Depending on whether you use the App as a customer or an artist, this may include:

Account information

• Your email address and password (your password is stored securely and we never see it in plain text).
• A display name.

Artist profile information (artists only)

• Your name, location (the town or area you serve, and approximate map coordinates), hourly rate, biography, the styles and specialties you offer, henna type, stain longevity, and aftercare details.
• Your Instagram handle and phone number (if you choose to add them).
• Portfolio photos you upload. Portfolio photos are shown publicly within the App so customers can view your work.
• Your payment setup status (whether you have connected a payout account — see Section 6).
